Program Description
The Diploma of Arts program is designed to provide students with basic skills and knowledge in a range of disciplinary studies in the humanities, arts and social sciences. The Diploma in Arts examines historic, environmental, social, behavioural and cultural features of humanity, allowing students to analyze, reflect upon and anticipate patterns of human conduct. Students will develop creative, critical and analytical skills to assist with future employment or to pursue further study.
The Diploma in Arts is an attractive option for students who would prefer to trial university study while gaining an introductory undergraduate qualification from which they could subsequently upgrade to either the Advanced Diploma of Arts or the Bachelor of Arts.
Diploma in Arts graduates will have a broad background appropriate for further study or to assist with future employment in a range of areas requiring a basic knowledge of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Students have the option to progress from the Diploma in Arts to the Advanced Diploma in Arts and the Bachelor of Arts and receive full advanced standing for all units they have completed in the Diploma.
