This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the Leeds Beckett University International Study Centre. After completing the pathway, students will progress into a program at Leeds Beckett University. In an international foundation year students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance their skills as a student. Advancement into their intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.

This International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge in sciences and mathematics, as well as the English language skills necessary for success in an undergraduate program at Leeds Beckett University. Once a student completes this course they will be suitable for progression options in areas such as computing, biomedical sciences and civil engineering.

After completing this pathway, students will transition to the BA Sociology program. Develop your critical analytical and interpretive skills and forge a deeper understanding of the world around you. Through the examination of social theory, class, gender, culture, the media, globalization and urban sociology, you will learn about changes and tensions in society and will come to recognize how and why they develop. You will complete a range of innovative and creative assessments and research-based assignments, and you will be able to pick from a variety of modules to shape your course to your career interests.
