This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the Leeds Beckett University International Study Centre. After completing the pathway, students will progress into a program at Leeds Beckett University. In an international foundation year students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance their skills as a student. Advancement into their intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.

This International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge in business, economics and mathematics, as well as the English language skills necessary for success in an undergraduate program at Leeds Beckett University. Once a student completes this course they will be suitable for progression options in areas such as business, law, marketing and public relations

After completing this pathway, students will transition to the BA Events Management program. Events have increasingly become important markers and influencers in our lives. Whether in sport, the arts, business or politics, not a day goes by without a major event taking place somewhere in the world. From massive events like Glastonbury Festival to intricate product launches, you will gain the ability to plan, promote and produce events of all sizes, including managing staff and suppliers as well as adhering to licensing requirements. You will also learn how to run your own events business.

Coming with some experience of events, whether through volunteering at a school prom or working directly in an events environment, this course will build a solid foundation for your continuing study. You will be taught by highly experienced events practitioners, all members of the UK Centre for Events Management, which is based here at the university.

This applied management course is dedicated to getting you into the events industry, and our experienced lecturers will help you find your way. All modules on the course are contextualised into the events industry - everything you learn will have a practical application when you begin your career.
