The sport industry is a rapidly growing business and needs people with well-rounded skillsets who can apply their knowledge of sport to the business side of the industry. Providing a grounding in key management principles and how to apply them in the context of the sporting world, the MSc Management (Sport) at Swansea equips students with vital skills and knowledge essential for the next generation of sports organization leaders.
This program focuses on the management of sport, including key duties of sports organizations to employees and stakeholders as well as regulations concerning critical issues such as safeguarding, inclusion, anti-doping and event manipulation. Students will also critically evaluate core ethical and integrity issues in sport and how to practice good governance, nationally and internationally, from a theoretically informed and practice-relevant standpoint.
In addition, students will learn about management in an interconnected global community as well as core management concepts such as managing financial resources, operations management, human resource management and marketing management to give them a solid grounding in a range of dynamic business principles.
