This joint honors program offers students the opportunity to study two distinct European languages within their respective cultural contexts.
French, being a prominent global language, is spoken across various parts of Europe, Africa, and the Americas. On the other hand, the languages of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden have historically exerted a significant influence beyond the Nordic region.
By engaging in intensive language study, which includes a year abroad, students will be able to develop advanced oral and written proficiency in both French and one of the Scandinavian languages, namely Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish.
Furthermore, alongside language classes, students will delve into various aspects of Francophone and Scandinavian culture. The curriculum encompasses subjects such as literature, cinema, political history, social movements, and philosophical concepts.
