On the MSci Mathematics with Business Management, students will challenge themselves to study a wide range of subject areas, developing their critical thinking and independent learning skills. As they progress, students will discover how mathematics is an integral part of everyday lives.
During their studies at the University of Birmingham, students will learn to apply analytical, statistical and computational skills to formulate, analyse and solve mathematical problems - and crucially, effectively communicate their solution. Preparing students for a career in high-level management, they will also spend a third of their course in the Birmingham Business School, studying the theory and practice of running a business, including economics, marketing and finance. Students will leave equipped with highly sought after skills, easily standing out in a highly competitive job market and ready to confidently take on their chosen career.

At the Birmingham Business School, students will learn the theory and practice of running a business. In small group tutorials, students will be encouraged to think critically and independently and they will undertake a large, final year project.
