Colorado Mesa University Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art is a professional degree concentration with a focus on an innovative curriculum in art education, art history and studio art. Students are introduced to the rewards of artistic practice while studying in any of the areas. All are supported by a strong foundation of visual art and general studies. This degree is intended to prepare students to pursue a professional career as an art educator, art historian or as a studio artist.
The BFA degree in Art with a concentration in Studio Art combines strong curriculum requirements in design, drawing, studio (either two- or three-dimensional) and art history. Students will develop skills and aesthetic judgment in the materials, techniques and tools within drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics or sculpture studio arts.
