The Master of Data Science (MDS) is designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in data science. Students will learn to apply data science concepts and methods to solve problems in business and scientific contexts and communicate these solutions effectively.
They will also learn about computing theory, programming, and algorithms, and how to use mathematical and statistical models to formulate and implement data analyses while applying them ethically.
The program is ideally suited for students with backgrounds in computer science, engineering, management, information technology, mathematics, or related fields who wish to pursue an advanced career in the specific subspecialties of Data Science (data analytics, machine learning, visualization, and A.I.). This program is offered in two curriculum options: thesis-based and course-based.
