    Program Description

Trent University is the only university in Canada to offer students the chance to combine students' study of forensics with one of several different academic disciplines. No matter what students' forensic career ambitions are, they have plenty of options at Trent University.

    Psychology:
Psychology at Trent University is perfect for students who wish to develop a better understanding of how and why people act, think, and feel the way they do. Students will study the principles of psychology and a variety of specialized subjects ranging from personality, child development, and abnormal psychology in their first two years, to advanced subjects such as gender, emotions, and the psychology of evil in the latter half of students' degree. Participate in research with leading experts in areas such as neuroscience, emotional intelligence, sexuality, anxiety, health, development, language impairment, perception, and memory.

    Forensics:
By studying Forensics at Trent University, students will learn the foundational science of forensics through the study of anthropology, biology, and chemistry, along with uniquely specialized forensics courses. As a graduate of this advanced program, students will apply their skills to uncover evidence recovered at crime scenes, draw impartial conclusions based on physical evidence, and present and defend these findings using their foundational knowledge in science. Students can also conduct first-hand investigative work with bloodstain pattern analysis, fingerprinting, and evidence recovery in mock crime scenes at Trent University's on-campus Crime Scene House.
