Program Description

The English Language Preparation program is a chance to improve your English language skills before beginning your pathway program. This program will you develop the required language skills to be successful in your intended pathway and degree program. 1-Semester Pathway and 2-Semester Pathway pre-sessional English are available. 1-Semester Pathway Pre-sessional English requires Academic IELTS for UKVI 5.0 overall (5.0 in all subskills) and 2-Semester Pathway Pre-sessional English requires Academic IELTS for UKVI 4.5 Overall (minimum 4.5 in all sub-skills).

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the Pre-Master's programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The Pre-Masters in Business, Media and Social Sciences, provides a route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. English language and career skills are combined with subject-specific modules such as social sciences, cultural studies, a variety of business skills like accounting and business management to provide you with a strong foundation for your chosen business, media and social sciences degree.

The globalised business world is ever changing and challenging. During the Master of Science in International Management, you’ll develop an understanding of how globalisation shapes business decisions. You’ll gain the confidence to manage organisations and make reliable decisions in an international context.

On this MSc, you’ll:

learn about the economic, cultural, legal and political differences in the international business environment
study critical business processes and managerial functions such as accounting and marketing
explore socially responsible and sustainable management practices and why they are essential for businesses to succeed.

You have the opportunity to tailor your degree to your interests. Options you can choose from range from business ethics to innovation for sustainability.
