Mechanical engineers transform pioneering ideas into ground-breaking inventions. The discipline helps to invent, design and manufacture many of the machines Swansea University use on a daily basis.
Swansea University's Mechanical Engineering degree prepares students for a rewarding career in a range of engineering sectors. Students will develop their analytical abilities whilst gaining hands-on experience of advanced equipment, establishing skills which are vital to securing employment in the wider industry.
Graduates go on to have interesting and varied careers at companies such as, Tata Steel, Rolls-Royce, Jaguar Land Rover, BP, GE Aviation, Ford and Babcock International Group.
